Bachelors Degree Preferred
Minimum 3 years experience preferred

Performs follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable due from government and non-government payers. Follows up on payer denials to include analysis of appropriate payment and claim adjudication. Identifies root causes of outstanding receivables and assists with resolution of those receivables.
Qualifications/Competencies:
Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Patient Account Technician (CPAT), Certified Clinical Account Technician (CCAT) or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) preferred.
Associate's degree preferred.
3 years or more of revenue cycle experience or related experience preferred.
Combination of physician, hospital and or various revenue cycle dept experience such as billing, reimbursement, patient access, denials management and coding preferred.
Knowledge of revenue cycle work flows, processes, computer system and health care including physician and facility billing practices.
Demonstrates immediate level of knowledge and skill in billing of all payers (government, managed care and commercial billing).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent customer services skills including telephone, negotiation, team building and conflict resolution skills.
Effective communication skills including written, verbal and listening skills.
Excellent and demonstrated interpersonal and organizational skills.
Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Demonstrated ability to handle interruptions, effectively manage more than one task at a time and work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
