Job Details:

The Medical Assistant provides support to the patient care team under supervision, performing those functions and procedures outlined in the departmental patient care guidelines for which competency has been demonstrated and Medical Center policies and procedures permit. Based on departmental requirements Medical Assistants may also provide business/clerical, reception and telephone support to the reception and records area of the practice.'
Qualifications/Competencies

BLS certification is required within 6 months of hire

Must be a graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program required or

Certified by one of the following nationally recognized programs:

American Association of Medical Assisting (AAMA)

National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

National Healthcareer Association (NHA)

American Medical Technologist (AMT)
Other Special Skills -Preferred
Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications and multiple computer applications
Ability to work independently, effective time management and problem solving skills, able tomanage multiple priorities
Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Must have confident and effective oral and written communication skills

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
