SKILLS has openings for Direct Support Professionals to support adults with intellectual disabilities by assisting them to become more independent and engaged in their community.
You may assist them in learning the various aspects of managing their homes and/or by helping them build connections in their communities, develop friendships, and achieve an overall sense of community.
These roles can be as few as 8 hours per week, or full-time, depending on your level of interest and availability.
SKILLS provides paid training for all required certifications as well as on the job training.
Employees who work 30
hours per week receive a highly competitive benefits package including 100% employer paid health insurance premium, paid time off, holiday pay, and lots more! Starting rate of pay is $16.
00 per hour.
Additional pay is considered for DSP certification, as well as ACRE, CNA, PSS, MHRT, BHP and Ed Tech.

Our requirements are:
Minimum of 18 years of age, high school diploma or GED, valid Maine drivers' license (may consider no license for overnight shifts only), computer literacy, and the ability to complete all required background screenings QUALIFICATIONS 18 years of age or older High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license Basic computer skills Ability to pass a background check upon hire A heart for supporting people with disabilities FULL- OR PART-TIME WORK SCHEDULE This entry-level position has various day shift, evening shift, night shift, holiday, and weekend schedules available based on the needs of the persons served and your availability.
Overnight shifts from the hours of 10:
00 pm - 6:
00 am pay $1.
50/hour more.
