The Role:
Peer Support Specialist As a Peer Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in promoting treatment goals and stabilization.
Your support services will make a significant impact on the lives of individuals on their recovery journey.

We're excited to invite you to be a part of our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team at MaineGeneral Health.
The Opportunity:
Our team is committed to providing exceptional care to empower individuals with mental health diagnoses toward their treatment goals.
Our multidisciplinary team includes health information specialists, case managers, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, nurses, employment specialists, substance use providers, and a clinical counselor.
The Work:
Provide information, education, and mentoring related to wellness and recovery.
Assess individual or group needs to identify and assist in obtaining appropriate services and support.
Educate staff and patients about peer support and recovery-based services and opportunities.
Document visits and interventions appropriately according to the standards of the healthcare organization.
You Have:
Driver's License:
A valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS):
Preferred; required within 12 months of hire.
Education:
An associate degree is preferred.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
