Insurance Representative - Pre-ArrivalMaineGeneral Health is currently seeking a dedicated professional to join our team of Insurance Representatives - Pre-Arrival.
Our newly structured and growing Pre-Arrival unit has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Insurance Representative to join our team.

MaineGeneral Health has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team of professionals as an Insurance Representative in our Pre-Arrival department.
This is an outstanding opportunity for you to shine while being part of a tremendously supportive team of professionals.
The Work:
Determines and verifies insurance coverage and coordination of benefits from all sources Confirms insurance coverage and procedure.
Determines the necessity for pre-authorization and obtains authorization for scheduled procedures Enters patient insurance, authorization, and order/RX information into the patient record and documents insurance coverage of services to be provided.
Notifies patient/payer of their financial responsibility for services to be provided Notifies patients and practitioners of any services requested and/or referred that are not authorized by insurance Communicates with patients, practitioners, and payer regarding financial responsibility and financial clearance issues You Have:
Medical office or clerical hospital experience Extensive customer service experience Excellent communication skills Working knowledge of insurance verification, pre-authorization, and medical necessity Organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks at once Quick and accurate keyboarding skills You Get:
