Health Information Specialist -II
Department: MaineGeneral Out-Patient Counseling and Substance Abuse
Schedule: Part-time
Shift: Day shift
Hours: 20 Monday-Friday between 8-5pm
Job Details:
Minimum 3 years experience preferred
Provides day-to-day secretarial duties, and support to behavioral health to the overall integration and success of the Program by being a team player, accepting and offering guidance as appropriate, participating in program activities and training as requested, and by promoting organization integration based on the mission, vision, and values. Answers phone calls professionally; staff and /or consumer questions are answered or directed to the appropriate source. Greets consumers and visitors in a cordial and professional manner. Completes general clerical duties in a timely and accurate manner. Participates in scheduling appointments and meetings as necessary. Assists clinical staff with managed care correspondence in a professional and efficient manner.
Qualifications/Competencies
Associate's degree or 2 years' experience in health information or office management
3 years or more of experience preferred
Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications.
Must be self-directed and have strong verbal and oral communication skills.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
