Job Details:

The Case Manager is responsible for managing complex patient issues in relationship to needed services and the patient's transition through the healthcare system. As a patient advocate, this person works collaboratively with patients and families and with the inter-disciplinary team both internal and external to the organization.
Licensure Requirements:
Maine State Board of Social Work Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)OR
Maine State Board of Social Work Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)OR
Maine State Board of Social Work Licensed Social Worker(LSW)OR
Must have either a current State of Maine Registered Nurse (RN) license or an RN license recognized by the Nurse Licensure Compact ( ). If RN licensure is from a compact state, must obtain a state of Maine RN license within 90 days of changing primary residency to Maine.
Certified Case Manager (CCM) preferred.
Educational Requirements:
For Social Work candidates, a Bachelor''s is preferred; Master''s is desirable.
For Nursing candidates, an Associates is preferred; BSN is desirable.
Minimum of 3 years of experience preferred.

Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications.
Utilization Review experience preferred.
Must be able to work independently, effectively manage time and strong problem solving skills.
Must be able to manage multiple priorities.
Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
Must have confident and effective oral and written communication skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
